A close examination of this shocking new painting of "Jesus Christ" reveals much hidden Satanic and New Age symbolism. This painting is proof positive of our conclusion of NEWS1334 and NEWS1335 that Roman Catholicism is White Magic Witchcraft.

New Christ: Black Jesus Is Millennium Image

A CATHOLIC magazine has chosen a picture of a dark-skinned Jesus as its image of Christ for the new Millennium.

Artist Janet McKenzie, who admits she used a woman as a model for the painting, says her Jesus appears at first glance as black, contrasting with earlier centuries' view of him as a white man.

But she added: "My goal was to be as inclusive as possible. Looking more deeply, you see many people in it."

The Vermont artist's Jesus of the People was selected from nearly 1700 entries for the cover of a special Millennium issue published this week by the National Catholic Reporter, a leading US religious magazine.

Sister Wendy Beckett, the 69-year-old British nun and art expert, made the final selection from a shortlist chosen by a jury.

She said the painting "is a haunting image of a peasant Jesus - dark, thick-lipped, looking out on us with ineffable dignity, with sadness but with confidence".

"Jesus would have liked this contest," said jury member Pattie Wigand Sporrong. "It didn't have a lot of boundaries and barriers."
